A United Cry for God’s Presence in the Heart of the Nation
The Capitol City National Day of Prayer is a sacred, multicultural gathering of the Body of Christ—leaders, intercessors, and believers from every background—coming together in the heart of Washington, D.C.,
Each year, we align with the National Day of Prayer’s annual theme, creating a unified spiritual focus as we lift our voices in worship, repentance, and intercession. This solemn assembly is more than an event—it is a divine invitation for God to intervene in the affairs of our country, heal our land, and guide our leaders with wisdom and righteousness.
Together, we declare hope over despair, unity over division, and the lordship of Jesus Christ over every system and structure.
Recap: D.C. Capital City Day of Prayer 2026 — Moving Forward!
The D.C. Capital City Day of Prayer 2026 brought together pastors, chaplains, intercessors, and community leaders in a powerful gathering of prayer, worship, and unity across Washington, D.C.
This year’s focus centered on moving forward in the authority of the Blood of Jesus, building flames of righteousness, and advancing Kingdom work in the Spirit Realm. Leaders and participants joined together in prayer for pastors, churches, families, communities, and the nation, believing God for healing, restoration, and revival.
A special moment of the event included honoring Dr. Corinthia Boone as the first Legacy Leader of NDP, recognizing her faithful leadership and lasting impact in ministry and community transformation.
Representatives from across all eight wards of Washington, D.C., along with various nations and communities, gathered in unity to build holy altars of prayer and stand together as carriers of the hope, love, and power found in Jesus Christ.
Under the leadership of D.C. NDP Coordinator Chaplain Sheila Griffin, the movement continues to call believers to prayer, worship, and spiritual unity throughout 2026 and beyond.
🙏 Join the movement. Pray with us.
“So goes D.C., so goes the world.”
