Altar & Future Leaders Network

Building the Next Generation of Prayer-Filled Leadership

The Altar & Future Leaders Network is a vital part of the Jericho Prayer Movement, led by Coordinator Pastor Derwin Brown, dedicated to empowering those who are called to lead through prayer, service, and community transformation.

This network brings together Neighborhood Altar Leaders—those who faithfully steward prayer gatherings in their communities—and Future Leaders who are being equipped to rise in spiritual leadership, mentorship, and community impact. Together, they represent the heartbeat of the Jericho Prayer Movement: faith in action, unity in purpose, and transformation through prayer.

Our Focus

  • Leadership Development: Equipping altar leaders and emerging voices with the tools to lead, organize, and intercede effectively within their communities.

  • Spiritual Formation: Strengthening faith through teaching, mentorship, and corporate prayer.

  • Community Activation: Encouraging local engagement and collective efforts that reflect God’s love and justice in every neighborhood.

Monthly Network Meetings

The Altar & Future Leaders Network gathers each month to share testimonies, pray for the city, and develop strategies that strengthen the work of neighborhood altars. These gatherings provide a space for encouragement, accountability, and leadership growth.

October 2025 Monthly Update
The Sound of Worship

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

Focus Verse of the Month

Psalm 20:5 (NIV)

“May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.”

Worship & Intercession Across the Region

This month, JPM worshipers gathered at strategic altars across the Capitol Region and Tennessee, raising the banner of victory through worship, intercessory prayer, and prophetic declaration. Together, we released God’s presence into neighborhoods, cities, and the nation.

At the Martin Luther King Jr. Altar, the “sound of worship” became a powerful witness. As songs of victory filled the air, an unexpected sign occurred — a fox appeared on the stone wall but could not cross into the altar space, fleeing from the sound of worship. A nearby bystander, drawn by the music, joined the gathering, saying, “I heard the sound and had to come over.” God opened doors for spontaneous ministry and divine encounters at the monument.

Songs of Worship Included:

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name

Victory Is Mine

Victory in Jesus

Hallelujah, You Have Won the Victory

Prayer Points & Declarations

The Neighborhoods
Leaders exercised priestly authority to invite and release God’s presence, declaring victory, restoration, peace, and salvation throughout communities—believing that transformation would overflow into the nation.

The Body of Christ
Prayers focused on awakening the Church to repentance, righteousness, and revival. The call went forth for the Body of Christ to model humility, unity, and love, countering division, pride, and violence in our land.

The Fatherless & Now Generation
Standing on Malachi 4:6, prayers rose for the hearts of fathers and children to be reconciled. Declarations went forth to break generational cycles of fatherlessness and affirm that young people will walk boldly in their Christ-centered identity and purpose.

The Combined Fellowship of Altars: Set on Fire

JPM worshipers came together from multiple altars, bringing the fire of revival and declaring victory for what the Lord has done. The gathering overflowed with spontaneous dancing, anointed testimonies, powerful prayer, and joyful praise—a true time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord!
