Accessing the Sevenfold Spirit Through the Blood of the Lamb

During the International Christian House Coalition (ICHC) Friday Pastors Prayer Call (6:30–7:30 AM), Pastor Adebo Tomomewo shared a powerful teaching titled “Accessing the Sevenfold Spirit Through the Blood of the Lamb.” The message emphasized the vital connection between the shed blood of Jesus and the release of the Seven Spirits of God for effective ministry and end-time harvest.

Understanding the Seven Spirits of God

The foundation for this teaching is found in Isaiah 11:1–2, which identifies seven dimensions of the Holy Spirit:

The Spirit of the Lord

Wisdom

Understanding

Counsel

Might

Knowledge

The Fear of the Lord

These seven aspects of the Spirit operated fully in Jesus Christ and empowered His earthly ministry. Revelation 3:1 also describes Christ as the One who possesses the Seven Spirits of God, demonstrating that the fullness of the Spirit was active within Him.

Jesus as Our Model

During His three-and-a-half-year ministry, Jesus transformed the world without modern technology or media influence. The power behind His works was the operation of the Holy Spirit in its fullness. In John 14:12, Jesus promises that those who believe in Him will do the same works—and even greater works—through the same Spirit.

The Blood of the Lamb and the Release of the Spirit

Revelation 5:6 presents the Lamb with seven horns and seven eyes, representing the Seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Through the sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary, the Holy Spirit—heaven’s Governor—was restored to the earth.

Pastor Tomomewo explained that Jesus’ blood was shed in multiple places during His suffering, symbolizing the complete release of the Spirit’s power. The blood of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit are inseparable. Through the blood, believers gain access to the fullness of God’s Spirit.

The Fire for Effective Ministry

Revelation 4:5 describes the Seven Spirits as blazing lamps before the throne of God. This imagery reveals the fire of the Spirit that fuels effective ministry. Without this divine empowerment, ministers may communicate knowledge but lack the transforming power of the Kingdom.

The Seven Spirits provide the spiritual tools necessary for ministry—bringing authority, wisdom, discernment, and supernatural effectiveness in reaching people with the Gospel.

The Spirit at Work in Ministry

Luke 4:18 demonstrates how the Spirit empowers ministry:

Preaching good news to the poor

Healing the brokenhearted

Delivering captives

Restoring sight to the blind

Setting the oppressed free

These works cannot be accomplished by human ability alone. They require the active power of the Holy Spirit working through believers.

The End-Time Army

Scripture also speaks of a powerful generation of believers who will move in the fullness of God’s Spirit. Joel 2:3 describes an advancing army whose presence transforms the land, while Revelation 21:14 points to believers carrying the authority of the Lamb.

When the Seven Spirits rest upon a believer, spiritual authority, discernment, and boldness are released—making them effective laborers in the harvest field.

Access Through Communion and Prayer

Two key access points for this empowerment were highlighted:

Communion: The Lord’s Supper is a spiritual reminder of the power of Christ’s blood and a moment to receive fresh strength from the Spirit.

Prayer: Continual prayer invites the Holy Spirit to rest upon believers anew, driving out opposing spiritual forces and releasing fresh anointing.

Practical Application

Believers are encouraged to:

Cultivate a holy hunger for the fullness of the Spirit.

Approach communion with faith and expectation.

Pray daily for the Seven Spirits to operate in their lives.

Rely on the Holy Spirit rather than human ability in ministry.

Stand boldly against spiritual opposition through the authority of Christ.

A Call to Spirit-Empowered Ministry

Pastor Tomomewo concluded by encouraging ministers to move beyond routine ministry and step into Spirit-empowered exploits. Through the blood of the Lamb, the Seven Spirits of God are already available to believers.

Now is the time to receive, walk in that power, and become effective harvesters in this generation.

Prayer

“Father, as we partake of the Blood of the Lamb, release upon us afresh the Seven Spirits—Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and fear of the Lord. Let every contrary force be burned away, and let our hands bring salvation, healing, and deliverance. Make us effective harvesters and unconquerable in this city, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
