Across our communities, God is calling believers to rise as altar builders — carriers of the Blood of Jesus — and establish Jericho Prayer Altars that shift atmospheres, restore covenant, and invite heaven into our neighborhoods.
A Jericho Prayer Altar is more than a gathering. It is a sacred gateway between the physical and spiritual realms, where God meets His people through covenant. At the altar, worship becomes authorized by heaven, prayer becomes intentional, and God is invited to speak, move, and dwell among us.
The Vision
Our vision is to raise spiritual altars throughout neighborhoods in alignment with God’s divine strategies. As believers, we come not in our own strength, but as carriers of the Blood of Jesus. Through these altars, disruptive demonic activity — witchcraft, infirmity, division, and territorial oppression — is driven out. Jericho Prayer Altars become a weapon against the enemy’s agenda and a place where destinies are released.
Success and dominion flow from revelation. As attention is given to the truth that we are carriers, God establishes authority and breakthrough for altar leaders and attendees alike.
The Mission
The mission is simple yet powerful: to neutralize and destroy the effects of evil by applying the opposing force — the Blood of Jesus.
How the Altars Are Structured
Jericho Prayer Altars are established at prayerfully selected locations and typically convene from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM.
Each gathering includes:
Opening declarations, affirming that we come as carriers of the Blood of Jesus (Job 22:28).
Worship, drawing God’s presence as He seeks worshippers in spirit and truth (John 4:23; Psalm 22:3).
Scripture-focused prayer, aligning our petitions with God’s Word and asking Him to act (Psalm 145:1–3; 2 Chronicles 20:12; Daniel 9:18).
Worship After Glow & Fellowship
Following altar gatherings, worship continues as hearts remain fixed on Christ. Fellowship is shared at the International Christian Church (ICC), where breakfast and koinonia strengthen unity. Each altar submits a prayer focus report based on the monthly scripture, reinforcing accountability and spiritual alignment.
Building Momentum
To successfully launch and sustain an altar:
Secure support from church and community leaders.
Host information sessions and make consistent announcements.
Build a core team (minimum of three).
Pray together regularly before the first Saturday launch.
The Goal
The ultimate goal is that our neighborhoods carry the pleasing fragrance of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14–15). Each altar builder is invited to ask: Whose aroma do I carry? This is a sacred honor — to bear Christ’s fragrance where we live, pray, and serve.
Communion & Commitment
Approaching the altar through communion reminds us of the necessity and power of the Blood of Jesus. His Blood speaks, expels darkness, and renders evil powerless. As we move forward into 2026, we commit ourselves as obedient altar builders, laying claim to our neighborhoods under God’s covenant.
We come declaring: We are carriers of the Blood of Jesus. We invite His presence — repentance, revival, and unity — to reign.
Stand firm in the Blood of Jesus. Amen.
In faith and trust as we move forward into 2026,Pastor Dervin BrownJPM Altar Coordinator
