During the International Christian House Coalition (ICHC) Friday Pastors Prayer Call on February 27, 2026, Pastor Dervin Brown of the Jericho Prayer Movement (JPM) delivered a powerful message centered on the theme: “You Are the Carriers of the Blood of Jesus (By Faith).”
Held weekly from 6:30–7:30 AM, the call gathers pastors, leaders, and intercessors to seek God together and receive guidance for prayer and ministry. Pastor Brown, serving as JPM Altar Coordinator, spoke about the prophetic significance of altars and the power of the blood of Jesus in spiritual warfare and revival.
The Altar and the Blood
Throughout Scripture, altars and the shedding of blood represent prophetic acts. In the book of Numbers, the story of Balaam demonstrates how God can transform curses into blessings. Pastor Brown emphasized that in 2026, God is calling believers to raise altars through revelation — recognizing that we are carriers of the blood of Jesus by faith.
When believers gather at an altar and declare the Word of God, they symbolically sprinkle the blood of Jesus through faith. The blood gives authority and power to the declarations made in prayer. As scripture is proclaimed, those words become authentic and active within the visible realm, impacting neighborhoods and communities.
The Power and Eternal Life of the Blood
Pastor Brown reminded participants that blood carries life. While human and animal blood have limits, the blood of Jesus has no expiration date. In Revelation 1:18, Christ declares, “I live forevermore,” affirming the eternal power and authority of His sacrifice.
The blood of Christ is unlike any other blood in heaven or on earth. It cleanses, redeems, and breaks the power of darkness.
Contending for Territory
Referencing Numbers 24:2–5, Pastor Brown explained how Balaam prophetically saw the victory of the cross. Even when words were intended to curse God’s people, they were turned into blessings. This principle reminds believers that spiritual territory must be contended for in prayer.
Through neighborhood altars, believers stand against territorial forces that attempt to influence people’s destinies through deception, enchantment, and division. When the blood of Jesus is declared, curses lose their power and the authority of Christ prevails.
A Call for This Generation
Pastor Brown concluded with a call for believers to rise in spiritual awareness and take their place at the altar. As carriers of the blood of Jesus, Christians are empowered to cut off the strategies of the enemy and bring freedom to communities, including healing for broken and fatherless families.
Understanding the voice and power of the blood is essential for believers who desire to be effective harvesters in God’s kingdom. As Jesus instructed in Matthew 9:35–38, the harvest is plentiful, and prayer is the pathway to releasing laborers into the field.
The message to the body of Christ is clear:
Rise up. Become aware. Take your place at the altar.
In Faith,
Pastor Dervin Brown
