Remembering 9/11: Truth, Faith, and a Prayer for Peace - September 11, 2026

International Christian Host Coalition (ICHC) | Pastors Prayer Call

The 25th anniversary of September 11 is a solemn time to remember those who died, honor the courage shown that day, and care for the families and communities still living with its impact. It is also a time to help younger generations understand the history they did not witness.

At its 9/11 Pastors Prayer Call, the International Christian Host Coalition (ICHC) reflected on that responsibility through the words of Jesus: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you” (John 14:27). Remembrance calls us to share the lessons of that day with the next generation while holding firmly to hope, compassion, and peace.

We remember the lives lost and the people who responded in a moment of extraordinary danger. We pray for those who continue to grieve. And we ask God to heal divisions in our nation, replace fear with peace, and guide us to treat one another with love and grace.

Dear God, comfort those who mourn. Help us teach history truthfully, stand firm in faith, and walk together in peace. Amen.
